Natural Park of National Interest of the Albera

Located northeast of the Alt Empordà region, in the area of the Sierra de la Albera.

It is built by two distinct sectors: one western, that of Requesens and the other for the eastern part, that of Sant quirze de Colera separated by the area of Coll de Banyuls.

The Sant Quirze de Colera sector is built around the important Monastery of Sant Quirze de Colera, a true jewel of Catalan Romanesque art. It is a high quality ecological and landscape unit where you can see the different species of the Pirinenca mountain range and the most typical of the Mediterranean.
