Natural Park of the Empordà Wetlands

The park is located in the region of Alt Empordà and is made up of the municipalities of Castelló d’Empúries, Sant Pere Pescador, Palau-saverdera, Peralada, Pau, Pedret and Marzà, l’Escala, Roses and l’Armentera. It has an approximate surface of 4731 ha. Of which 824 are strictly protected integrated natural reserves.

The objective of the declaration of this area as a natural park is twofold: on the one hand, conserve, improve and enhance natural systems and on the other, make conservation compatible with economic development.
